Vivas Arquitectos is an architecture practice founded in Barcelona in 2006 by César and Cristian Vivas Millaruelo. Its work is grounded in a systematic and pragmatic approach, exploring new solutions and unconventional construction systems.
The practice has received numerous recognitions, and its work has been widely published and exhibited both nationally and internationally. Among its distinctions are the 2024 CSCAE National Architecture Award and the 2025 European Matilde Baffa Ugo Rivolta Award. Its projects have appeared in prestigious publications such as Arquitectura Viva, Casabella and Detail, and were featured in the Spanish Pavilion exhibition at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale. More recently, the practice has been invited as a speaker at the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026 in Barcelona and at the Spitzer School of Architecture in New York. The partners combine their professional practice with teaching at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya—ETSAV and ETSAB—.
